Let’s review the SEVEN Commandments of Animalism:

  1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.
  2. Whatever goes upon four legs or has wings, is a friend.
  3. No animal shall sleep in a bed
  4. No animal shall drink alcohol.
  5. No animal shall kill other animal.
  6. No animal shall wear clothes.
  7. All animals are equal.

Explain, in your opinion, what’s the meaning of this bit of foreshadowing (30 points):

3 Monsters – The Scylla, Charybdis, and the Sirens

Things continue to get worse.  Not only does Odysseus find out his mother is dead, but he has to navigate past the Scylla and Charybdis, AND he now knows that there are men in Ithaca who want to steal his world.

  2. How do the Sirens trap you, and how is Odysseus to avoid the trap?
